From the Course Summary page there is a link to the Student Groups feature. This feature can also be accessed from the Course Administration.

Instructors can divide their courses into Student Groups for filtering reports and Gradebook scores. Students can be added to more than one Student Group; in other words, Groups can overlap. The Student Groups Filter can also be accessed at the Course Level Dashboard.
