Sr. Director, Technical Product Management
Terry Cheng directs the technical product management and technical writing activities for ALEKS. She and her team work with MHE cross-functional development teams and business partners to figure out what students and instructors need and then build and improve on the ALEKS product experiences in ways that delight and empower customers.
Since 2013, Terry has been working on shaping the product experiences for ALEKS and other McGraw Hill technology, training business analysts to be product managers, starting agile development teams, and improving technical writing and internal training practices at ALEKS.
Her preparation for a career in product management really started much earlier. In 2009, she joined ALEKS Corporation as Executive Assistant to the President. In 2011, she managed a team responsible for K-12 curriculum adoptions, sales proposals, ALEKS efficacy research studies, and finding grants funding for K-12 customers. Before joining ALEKS, Terry worked as a project coordinator for a commercial construction company that built and renovated hospitals, schools, and office buildings.
Terry holds a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Chicago. She is also a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
